Stayed here for one night. I was tempted by the on site restaurant but ended up going out for pizza instead. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and put me in a first floor room, which felt a little odd at first, but thankfully the room had blackout curtains. When I got to the room, I assumed the door would close on its own like most hotels, but it didn’t. I ended up lying on the bed decompressing on my phone for about 90 minutes, then got up to use the restroom and noticed the door was slightly ajar, which was a bit unsettling. The room itself was slightly cramped but fine for a short stay. I checked out the basement gym briefly and it was very small. The property could use some updates overall. As I was leaving, I asked the front desk where I could fill my water bottle and was directed to the bar, where they used the soda gun. It would be nice if they had filtered water available instead. On the positive side, I asked for tea packets and the front desk attendant kindly went to the back and brought me four. Checkout in the morning was quick and easy, and the staff member was very personable. I’m not sure I’d stay here again since this was a last minute, budget friendly booking, but it was pleasant, centrally located, had plenty of parking, and the walkways were well salted despite the icy conditions. We had a large family gathering regards a sad event in which we showed up late and Martha and crew far exceeded our expectaions. They were polite, efficient and awesome to have helping us. The food was great and we could not have asked for anything better. For family members who stayed it was fantastic. Again expectations were exceded. They upgraded us to a larger room and they brought us two water bottles the next morning, before checkout, to our room! We only wish we knew to bring toothpaste because it wasn't included but might've just been an oversight on housekeeping's part. The room was spotless and the shampoo and conditioner were nice and hydrating and smelled of Neroli, really nice touch! The room was acceptable, but the food was very disappointing. I ordered a medium-well burger and received it rare. When I informed the staff, they dismissed the issue, saying it was crowded and that was the best they could do.
